What should a bot wait for me to approve?

Anything that sends, posts, pays, deletes, or books should wait for your yes.

About 7 minutes. Checked 27 October 2026.

  1. Name the actions

Sending mail, posting in public, paying, deleting, and booking a time all leave a mark. Those wait.

  2. Say Ask first in the setup

Write it in the prompt: Ask first before you send, post, pay, delete, or book. The official notes are at https://docs.x.ai/grok-bot/approvals-security-and-privacy

  3. Allow only the quiet work

Sorting a list, drafting, and reading a file can run on their own. A draft is not a send.

  4. Read the draft

A polite draft can still invent a price or a date. If the bot does not know, it should say it needs to check.

  5. Keep one approval list

If you add more bots, ask the chief of staff for one evening list of drafts. You should not hunt through five chats.
